The Ministry of Industry and Trade will support manufacturers of costume fabric for school uniforms made of poly viscose. This is reported by Izvestia.
Manufacturers of school uniforms received state support earlier, but only manufacturers of natural fabrics could count on subsidies. According to the Director General of Lakis LLC (one of the largest manufacturers of school uniforms) Elena Snytnikova, in 2016, 600 million rubles were allocated for natural fabrics for school uniforms. In 2017, only 400 million is provided for the support of mold manufacturers, and they will probably have to be divided between manufacturers of both natural and chemical fabrics.
"The basis of viscose fabric is cellulose - the wood is dissolved to a liquid state and the fibers are pulled out of it for the fabric. It turns out 60% organic base, which means breathing. Polyester is comfortable, high-quality, but it is better not to come into contact with the body. Use it in a school uniform is a good solution, because it is durable, and schoolchildren are mobile, constantly running, polyester will not tear. In addition, oil is the basis of polyester. Since it is enough in Russia, we will independently produce fabric without needing import ", - said resident of the Association of Textile Workers Shamkhal Ildarov.
However, in the summer of 2016 ANO "Roskachestvo" conducted a study on the quality of school uniforms. It turned out that 80% of the fabrics of clothing for students increased the content of polyester. The study said that because of this, clothes are poorly breathable and absorb moisture.
President of the Russian Union of Entrepreneurs of Textile and Light Industry Andrei Razbrodin (one of the initiators of the distribution of subsidies for poly viscose fabrics) noted that “we cannot say for sure that synthetics are bad and natural fibers are good.” “Everything needs to be done professionally, then everything will be of high quality. You need to have the right standards, do everything according to technology,” he added.
